The Inspection

The inspection will take 2 to 4 hours plus reporting and travel, depending of the size of your home and the extent of assessment requested by our clients.

We advise all of our clients to prepare for the inspection by clearing all the attic access openings, crate all dogs, cats etc., and have any evidence of their concerns present (ie. repair paperwork, builder's paperwork or communication, etc.). The more information homeowners have prepared for the inspector, the easier the inspector will find it to ensure all concerns are answered during the assessment process.

Inner wall cavity evaluations are conducted with the use of a video boroscope with an LED light and photo/video capture capability. The use of this camera requires drilling holes into your walls but we will try to be as minimally invasive as possible so that repairs to drywall afterwards are minimized. Sometimes, inspectors will have to cut larger openings in the wall depending on the situation and conditions noted in the home.
